Bleeding Free is a culmination of compelling storytelling, global effort, and fantastic participants.

This documentary tells the story of girls and women around the world: those who, throughout their life, suffered from social stigma against their bodies and especially on the topic of menstruation.

One out of ten women in the UK experiences period poverty. In Scotland, it is one out of five. Taxed as luxury items, pads and tampons are not affordable for everyone who needs them. This can lead to health problems, such as infections, and it leads to girls missing school and women missing work - over 130,000 girls miss school due to period related problems every year.
